Imation seeks an Inventory Accountant to support Imation's 780,000 + square-feet Mega Distribution Center in Southaven, Mississippi as well as the warehouse in Anaheim, CA. The position will be located in Oakdale,MN but will require travel to the facility 2-5 days quarterly, or as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Distribution Center and Freight Inventory Accountant.
  • Support Warehouse Managers and staff with accounting support which will require quarterly visits to the Southaven, MS and Anaheim, CA warehouses quarterly, or as needed.
  • Warehouse and Postponement Cost Center spending monthly review and yearly budget preparation.
  • Monthly Variance and Inventory adjustment analysis and allocation.
  • Postponement Work order variance analysis, unit cost, and spending variance reporting.
  • Perform month end closing duties including account reconciliation of select balance sheet accounts, journal entries, analysis, and verification of management reports.
  • Maintain Warehouse cost allocation and accounting.
  • Freight cost review and allocation to product group.
  • Capital Investment Analysis.
  • Ensure adequate controls and policies are in place for the counting and recording of inventory.
  • Support Operations Team with Lean initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Recommend operational efficiency improvements based on results of analyses.

  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and reconciliations.
  • Strong Understanding of GAAP.
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
  • Bachelors Degree - Required (Accounting, Finance)
Experience
  • 3-5 Years - Required (Accounting, Finance)
