Job Overview

We seek a Forklift Operator to work for our Distribution Center in Anaheim, CA. Objectives Responsible for a section in warehouse and take inventory at the end of the month. Pulls material that is required from their section by supply list needed for the production lines. Assist in receiving all materials at warehouse and store them in a designated area. Essential Duties: Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others, keeps commitments; keeps others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; appropriately escalates issues for immediate execution when critical to business success. Operate forklift safely by pulling material that is required from stock as specified by supply list for the production lines. Take daily, weekly, monthly inventory to ensure accurate count of raw materials as instructed by the lead. Assist distribution warehouse in physical inventory. Receive inventory items (import & domestic) into the warehouse by comparing physical product to the packing list/invoice and report any discrepancies to the warehouse lead. Secondary duties: Recommend new methods and techniques in material handling in order to reduce warehouse space. Report low inventory levels, inventory discrepancies to the warehouse lead to avoid production downtime. Apply good housekeeping rules to work area. Performs additional duties as requested.

Qualifications

Skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize job duties. Basic math and English reading comprehension skills. Able to work any shift as required in a fast paced, time sensitive environment, may be required to work some holidays. Ability to work with warehouse computer systems. Oracle WMS strongly preferred Follows safe practices and procedures within a Distribution Center. High School degree or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in Warehouse operations (shipping and receiving). Must be familiar with inventory control concepts and systems and be forklift certified. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required Experience 0-3 Years - Required (Warehouse Operations)
