Job Overview
We seek a Product Manager to support Imation's Consumer Business based in Cerritos, CA.

The Product Manager is expected to drive and manage the Accessories Product Line to meet or exceed all goals & objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Own product P&L
  • Develop and drive marketing strategy & plan for assigned products
  • Understand the market landscape including - market size, growth, opportunity, trends, drivers, competition
  • Understand end-user requirements - Drive primary research efforts as needed
  • Manage portfolio of Imation and Memorex branded products
  • New product development
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain pricing strategies & pricing guidelines. Establish volume dealer & promotional pricing
  • Define product positioning
  • Lead development of product packaging and messaging
  • Manage product lifecycle through EOL
  • Vendor management
  • Product cost and cost roadmaps
  • Inventory management
  • Lead cross-functional team members
  • Work with external and internal resources as part of product development process
  • Provide input to marketing budget investment required to support strategies
  • Work with PR to drive effective initiatives in support of product strategies
  • Provide input to channel marketing for key account proposal development, new product messaging, launch activities and related marketing collateral
  • Actively stay abreast of channel partner needs
  • Participate in account visits as appropriate
  • Provide business reviews for assigned products
  • Develop and maintain strong internal & external relationships

Skills
  • The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in product management or product marketing. Retail/consumer product experience preferred.
Education
  • Bachelors Degree - Required (Marketing-- Brand Mgmt, Marketing-- Product Dev. / Product Mktg.)
  • Masters Degree - Preferred (Marketing-- Brand Mgmt, Marketing-- General, Marketing-- Product Dev. / Product Mktg.)
Experience
  • 5-10 Years - Required (Marketing-- Brand Mgmt, Marketing-- General, Marketing-- Product Dev. / Product Mktg.)
