Job Overview

Responsibilities The Traffic Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager. Responsible for the tracking of shipments from the DC to the customer, working with the carriers to provide superior service to the DC, and handling of Claims, and working with our 3rd party transportation provider on all issues associated with our transportation carriers. Responsible for Import/Export activities at the Distribution Center and responsibility for the Order Management functions at the Distribution Center. Essential Functions: Responsible for the day to day tracking of shipments. Responsible for processing all transportation claims Handle customer complaints/needs with any necessary support Provide export/import expertise to the DC Responsible for the processing of inbound and outbound shipments. Responsible for the Customer Service function at the DC

Qualifications

Skills Requires familiarity with various company computer systems such as Oracle and WMS Must be able to learn, on the job, adapt to changes and become proficient quickly Position requires high level of concentration, close attention to details Must be especially responsive to customer requests and display a courteous and professional demeanor at all times Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment Must be able to handle stressful situations, ,i.e., end of the month, and emergencies Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and be able to use proficiently Education High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required Bachelors Degree - Preferred Experience 3-5 Years - Required (Traffic/Transportation environment)
