Job Overview
Imation is seeking a Human Resource Intern to work with our benefit, compensation, and staffing professionals. This position will be exposed to a broad spectrum of Human Resource activities and gain considerable experience.

This position will have the following objectives & expectations:

Objectives
  • Support our HR team on a variety of project based assignments
  • Improve the accuracy of our job description matches to salary survey positions
  • Provide leadership for the Imation Intern program - recommend & implement improvements
  • Assist with HRIS projects
  • Back-up various Human Resource Professionals
Expectations
  • Candidates should have completed at least two years (prefer three) in a Human Resource or related degree program.
  • Must have strong interpersonal & verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with management.
  • Should have experience using the internet to acquire research data and able to analyze the data and formulate recommendations.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Experience using MS Office: Excel, Word & Powerpoint (Experience using Access database is a plus!)
Responsibilities
  • Benefits dept. on various Health & Welfare or Retirement program projects.
  • Compensation dept. on salary market surveys primarily to ensure accurate job to market mapping.
  • Staffing dept. to support the intern program and improve our documentation for new Job Descriptions.
  • Additional assignments as needed.

Qualifications
Junior or Senior in Human resources or related field with high energy and the desire to experience multiple disciplines within the Human Resource field. Strong ability to communicate, gather information and complete analysis then document finding and recommendations and present both to leadership.

Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
  • Bachelors Degree - Preferred (HR - General)
Experience
  • 0-3 Years - Preferred (HR - General)
