Job Overview

Imation's Sourcing Operations/Imports Department is looking for an Intern to support their group in terms of Purchase Order (PO) Execution and International Trade Services. This is an excellent learning opportunity for a university student to both share and gain new insights/perspectives on process improvements in the Sourcing Operations/Imports area. We seek a candidate to work at least 20 hours through the end of 2009 Objectives Independent, familiar with business operations, organizations, and operations management principles and practices Responsibilities Assist with documentation of procedures Audit and review customs and FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) entries, including classification and COO (country of origin) Daily AES (Automated Export System) hold review and release Process imports freight payments and administer freight allocation reporting Maintain landed cost reports for finance and audit imports and customs clearance payments process and investigate and resolve carrier, broker, and forwarder payment issues Update and maintain parts table for product classification Support special projects related to Sourcing & International Trade Services Troubleshoot service provider failures

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be a Junior or Senor student in College, studying management, finance, supply chain management, and / or operations Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in: Skills MS Office MS Excel Lotus Notes Strong analytical and communication skills Education High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required College Degree in process - Required (Management, supply chain management, operations) Experience 0-3 Years - Preferred (Student)
