Job Overview

Imation seeks an experienced Financial Analyst supporting the Strategic Initiatives and Mergers & Acquisitions Organization. Objectives Analyze companies financial results and perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance Develop and maintain complex financial models using discounted cash flow and other financial projection modeling techniques Provide management with financial information necessary to make critical business decisions Prepare and summarize management recommendations on financial assessments of M&A initiatives Coordinate and perform business and financial due diligence Perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, working capital requirements, and investment opportunities Develop appropriate ROI metrics, tools, and financial discipline throughout team Coordinate and present analysis of monthly financial results for various business areas Manage special financial projects as needed in other Imation disciplines

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required – MBA desirable CFA or CMA desirable 5-8 years financial experience in support of mergers, acquisitions, and other business combinations Experience required in analyzing strategic initiatives and M&A Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities Knowledge of B2B and B2C industry Demonstrated leadership through influence and cross functional skills Excellent writing and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with Senior Management Project management and multi-task oriented Team player and business partner Education Bachelors Degree - Required (Accounting, Finance) Masters Degree - Preferred (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration) CMA or CFA - Preferred (Certified Management Accountant, Certified Financial Analyst) Experience 5-10 Years - Preferred (Financial experience supporting M&A or strategic initiatives)
