The Organizational Training and Development Manager will design, develop and deliver human resources management and leadership training programs in a variety of subject areas, including people skills, professional skills, business skills, management skills and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Consults and collaborates with business partners to understand operational direction and priorities, evaluates training solutions to meet the business need, manages measurement of solution effectiveness and drives communication from project initiation to development to implementation to evaluation and debrief.
- Determines the appropriateness of contracting with outside vendors to accomplish organization’s training goals & objectives. Manages outside vendors.
- Conducts competitive benchmarking to improve the training function. Re-engineers processes to serve client groups better, faster or more cost effectively.
- Delivers leadership development programs that maximize the learning and commitment of participants. This includes: coordinating resources as well as facility logistics, mastering subject matter, linking presentation to learning objectives, stimulating insight and participation, providing constructive feedback, diagnosing participant area of difficulty, evaluating competence, and recommending appropriate learning reinforcement mechanisms.
- Maximizes learning transfer by observing participant performance on the job, obtaining feedback from supervisors and managers, educating supervisors and managers on reinforcement opportunities and techniques, coaching supervisors and managers on appropriate follow-up steps.
- Integrates knowledge of industry, business priorities, HR/Learning & Development/business strategies, and department needs to foster a meaningful learning environment, one that accelerates employee growth & engagement while eliciting commitment to the company’s priorities.

Qualifications |

Bachelor’s Degree, Required, Masters Degree in Psychology, Business or Communications, Preferred
10 + years Human Resources experience, 5 + years Organizational Training & Development experience.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of adult learning theories, principles and practices.
- Demonstrated competency in curriculum development, delivery and evaluation processes.
- Excellent project management skill set as well as a strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills along with effective presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply problem solving methods to identified training and development needs.
- Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of current training and assessment models and methodology.
- Demonstrated change management aptitude and ability. Takes a proactive role in bringing about change, applying new ways to develop the business through improved management of people and processes.
- Ability to think strategically and identify critical success factors when developing strategy and plans for assigned area of responsibility. Ability to translate diverse pieces of information into meaningful conclusions and results.
- Ability to proactively develop and maintain solid business partnerships to ensure success for the organization
