Imation's Respect Policy

You are a unique individual
You have your own unique set of ideas, thought processes, and values. You deserve to be treated with respect — and so does everybody else

In a perfect world, everyone is treated with respect at all times. In a perfect world, no one ever says or does anything that another person finds offensive. In a perfect world, somehow each of us knows exactly how everyone else feels about every topic, every statement we might make, every gesture or action we might take.

But we do not live in a perfect world
We are not perfect. We are not all-knowing.

And so, we must communicate with one another
If someone offends you, you should let that person know — so that it won't happen again. If you offend someone, you should apologize — and not let it happen again.

And if, for some reason, you do not feel comfortable communicating directly with the person who has said or done something that you find offensive, or if you have done so but the offensive words or actions continue, then it is your obligation to talk with your manager or anyone in management or human resources about the words or conduct you found offensive.

We will take the matter seriously, we will investigate your concerns, and we will treat you and everyone else involved with respect. We will prohibit anyone from retaliating against you for voicing your concerns.
