We have been called upon to assist the United State Government, in recovering data from devices that have been either accidentally damaged or purposely erased. Improper environmental conditions, insufficient transportation and storage preparation, and poor tape handling can all result in data loss. With the capacity of a single cartridge now exceeding 200GB and approaching a terabyte in the near future, appropriate handling is more important than ever. The Imation Tape Care & Handling Seminar is designed to train data center managers and operators on how to effectively care for and handle tape cartridges.
This comprehensive seminar will walk through the mechanics of what goes into a tape cartridge, how to properly handle cartridges as well as a review of optimum storage and transportation conditions.
