The major annual event associated with the End User Council relationship is a formal meeting, where the current year's End User Council members join together with key Imation leaders to share and get feedback on industry information, strategies and direction. The annual meeting is also a springboard used to introduce new customers to the End User Council relationship.
Attendees will be joining other Storage Professionals from a variety of industries including, manufacturing, transportation, public utility and financial. New technology presentations will provide attendees with insight into the next generation of tape technology. Presentations from OEMs will allow customers to see the direction they are moving in. Peer presentations will help benchmark current storage operational efficiencies. Imation presentations will advise attendees of the company’s strategic direction. We will be asking the council members to help identify what products and services are needed to support their business today and into the future. Also, no End User Council meeting would be complete without including some fun recreational activities, excellent meals and opportunities for interaction with many of your fellow professionals and Imation leaders.
The 2004 EUC Board of Advisors and Imation are working together to identify agenda topics and meeting requirements for the 2005 conference. Imation will be extending invitations to prospective 2005 session participants by the end of February. The EUC website will continue to serve as a forum for providing conference updates and information relevant to all 2005 council members and alumni.
Imation covers the costs for hotel accommodations, meals, activities and ground transportation, while attendees are expected to cover their airfare to the destination location.
Read what some of our End User Council members had to say about the 2005 meeting:
"This was a phenomenal mix of information, networking opportunities and yes some play time. I am totally impressed with the Imation organization and their ability to employ individuals that work as a team with one goal in mind the customer. Their ability to meet or exceed my needs no matter how unreasonable truly amazes me every time. They are a world class vendor that is committed to quality and customer satisfaction."
Len S๖derblom, The Northern Trust"Content presented is current, addresses current needs in the backup/tape environment, and allows you to network with peers."
Dhiva Navaratnam, Telus Mobility"Good information presented with a good time."
Andy Holt, Nationwide"It is a world class event with the best assembly of talent I have ever attended."
Frank Pelligra, Medco Health"It is a worthwhile conference if you use Imation tape and are interested in learning things pertaining to the tape and technology using it.. mixed in with a lot of fun!"
Jane Bamberger, Met Life"It provides the opportunity to develop strategic partnerships and leverage experts from the vendor side to help make informed decisions."
Rob Donald, Fedex Services"Imation is the only company I know of that partners with its users in this way to gain a better understanding of their needs. Imation actually listens to End User Council members when they set direction for its products and services."
Daryl Klingensmith, Alltel"Networking with peers and Imation."
Mark Casebolt, Bank of America"There is no better place to hear what Imation is doing or planning to do for you. The direction of removable media that will help you plan for the future. Meeting other professionals and seeing (presentation) or hearing (networking) what they are doing that may be something you might be able to use in your shop."
